This course offers beginners an amazing way to learn how to transform sterling silver and other precious metals into their own exciting jewelry.  Learn basic jewelry making, soldering, bezeling, fabrication and stone setting techniques.  You will also learn the proper use of tools and equipment.  Learn to design and make your own pendants, earrings, rings and more.

Glass fusing is the melting of several pieces of glass into a single piece which can be used to create jewelry or other works of art.  Students will learn the basics of glass fusing and slumping including cutting glass, design considerations, stringers, frits, diachronic glass, the use of diamond saws and glass grinders and how to prep, maintain and fire a kiln.

On Tuesday April 22 at 9:00 am SAC will plant tow trees in the area across from the Nursing building (1100) in memory of Tim Keith our former PCS manager who passed away last summer. Cake will be served outside Student Services. Reusable grocery totes will be given to the first 100 students to pledge to "recycle more".  5:00 pm Dr. Doyle Wilsone will speak on the water of the Colorado River and conservation - The public is invited to this event.
